I hope all of you had a good holiday season and that the return to work and daily life has not been too stressful! The holidays kept me quite busy and as such, I haven’t had time to reply to comments or post any more content on this blog. I keep having new ideas for posts, however, which means the list just keeps getting longer!
My parents flew out to Germany from the US to spend Christmas with us and I was very fortunate in that I was able to wear skirts throughout their visit without any drama. Last year, we spent Christmas at my parents’ house in Colorado with archconservative family members from the deep South which meant I didn’t wear skirts to avoid conflict with them and sour the mood for everyone.
Fortunately, this year was completely different. As some of you have potentially already seen on Instagram, I have been posting photos of me wearing a selection of new skirts. I was fortunate enough this Christmas to have actually received a couple as gifts as well as a gift card for Zalando that I used to pick out a couple of new skirts.
Most of the skirts I got are thick, woolen skirts that are perfect for the cold winter we are having here in southern Germany. I have been thoroughly enjoying them. For those who haven’t seen them yet, I decided to create a small gallery of the pictures I took for Instagram. You’ll find that below.
How did you fare this holiday season? Did you get any new skirts, dresses, tights, heels, or any other clothing?
Nice stuff! I favor the black full one and the olive green.
Same here for colour (dark green’s my favourite) , but I’d really only wear the green one as it’s the only non-pullup skirt, and the only one with pockets. I just won’t wear skirts without at least a couple of them; to me, pockets add a dash of masculinity.
I really do miss pockets when I don’t have them. If I wear a skirt without them, then I make sure to wear a jacket or something that does have them.
Thank you!
Well I didn’t get any new skirts, not that I haven’t been looking at some. I have 30+ skirts and dresses, should be enough to keep me out of pants for a while. But what I did get was a great pair of heeled boots, a couple pair of legging and a long jacket to go with my skirts.
That should definitely be enough! I also have quite a few, but have found myself addicted to trying different patterns, forms, etc since there are so many compared to pants! Heeled boots and leggings are also great to get!
Well, I haven’t got any new skirt, but I got a black dress that I feel comfortable in. It’s maybe a bit too short during the winter, so for longer outside walks with my dog I put additional skirt, but at home it’s totally fine.
When it comes to what you got, I really like the flared grey-blackish skirt, and the kilt-alike red one looks great as well.
