Hiking skirt. One that allows plenty of leg motion, knee length, and is durable. Second is a kilt.
I only just recently looked into hiking skirts and they look wonderful! I’m going to have to buy one soon and try it.
Straight denim or cargo skirt with a bit of spandex in the material for a comfortable stretch.
I love those too! They are ridiculously comfortable.
Just saw this come up and is an example of the skirts that I think are the perfect skirt

I have their other skirt too.
Very cool! I just signed up for the notification. I looked around their website and I’m really intrigued. I’ll have to order one from them and try it out. Thanks for the tip!

Check out this men’s skirt brand. I like the look. Not cheap but may try one. I like their story too
I definitely will! Thanks for the suggestion!
Denim skirts, mini or maxi.
I haven’t tried a denim skirt yet, but they are very high on my list of styles to still try!
By far my favorite skirt for daily wear is a denim (yes, it comes in many colors) in an A-line shape, cut just above the knees. I like the look, the feel, and the pockets (and belt loops)! The better ones have just a bit of stretch, too. For less demanding days, a flowy satin skater is fun, too.
Oddly enough, I’ve never actually worn a denim skirt. It’s just not a type I’ve purchased yet, although the next skirt I buy will most definitely be a blue denim skirt because I’ve always wanted one.

Check out this men’s skirt company from Italy. I like the style and really like their story.
One that I like, fits, and feels good!
I detest “favorite” questions as they create artificial barriers and imply one is better than another. I guess I just like diversity with lots of options. If I’m not being sarcastic, most any skirt that allows freedom of movement. Pockets are a big plus, but not vital if you can keep track of a purse! Fabric, color, and length to suit mood, weather, and activity of the day. Make a resolution to not get stuck in a rut, and certainly not pants!
I like it! One that you like, fits and feels good is absolute the best one to wear. In my discovery phase, I tried out a lot of different skirts that I really didn’t like and ended up getting rid of.
