This is an interesting article from The Conversation that talks about how skirts have taken on a role of rebellion in the world of men’s fashion, but haven’t yet reached mainstream status.

“Fashion is all about change and risk” – maybe men don’t want to risk in this area? On the other hand, if the skirt or dress is a matter of being someone’s friend, then maybe it’s actually sensible to take it and found out, who’s really supporting you or supporting your “ordinnariness” to the point of males considering themselves / friends as “the same” guys, army type of mental, all sergeants with same duties, responsibilities and appearance.
That’s true! You could potentially risk friendships by revealing yourself, but the flip side is that you might really cement your friendships. I’ve told all of my good friends and they’ve fortunately all accepted it without an issue. One of them even admitted that he does the same! We were both pleasantly surprised to say the least. He even wrote a guest article for this blog: https://www.the-beskirted-man.com/personal-experiences/gendernt-clothing-a-journey-to-comfort/
