A skirt is a skirt no matter whether it’s marketed for women or men. Kilts are really more specialized type of skirt and really shouldn’t be called a skirt.
I agree that a skirt is a skirt no matter whom it’s marketed to. The question is just really whether calling it something else would help more men get over the stigma of a “skirt” being a piece of women’s clothing, as silly as that sounds.
