This is a fairly long, but interesting discussion about gender norms and fashion. I can definitely recommend that you at least listen to the whole thing when you have the time.
Somebody recommended this video to me, but unfortunately, I can’t remember or find who it was, so I apologize for that. Thank you anyway though! Keep the recommendations coming!

How would you rate this post?
Yeah, if you’re female and you dress masculine – blazer, long trousers, whatever we call “ordinary men clothes” – fine, no one’s going to comment. Other way around and it’s armageddon we (male wearing skirts) bring due to our moral sins. Good that he mentioned how “comics” and all the YouTube stuff do not really help, where someone wearing dress or skirt is drawn as female-ish as possible (before / after magical transition or change of clothes), without any sign of beard / mustache, and the story just hitting you with a hammer to inform about this cute girl being actually a boy.
Sadly doesn’t look like this is going to change ever, at least not in western culture, but at least some folks are touching this topic without straightforward denial of this double standards.
It is good that he pointed those things out and how they are not helping. I think it’s great that the topic of boys and men wearing skirts appears on YouTube and in comics, but they need to make more “masculine” characters that wear them too.
