Top notch. It’s so easy to get rolled up in our own unrecognized prejudices! I am guilty myself, though not on this specific point. I don’t like how tattoos look, on anyone, and it’s taken me years to get past that immediate turn-off when I meet someone new and tattooed. Being a guy who prefers wearing skirts helps me on the rational path there, but the reactive, lizard-brain part of it is harder to overcome, and it just takes time and practice. I applaud the mom in this article for her openness and insight. Brava! Bit by bit, we can make the world more accepting and inclusive.
