Jainil Mehta is an Indian man who dances in colorful skirts. He has become a social media star and I’ve seen him popping up on Instagram quite a bit.
This an interesting interview with him about his rise to “fame” and what it means to him.

Well, skirts that this guy wears are really “space-consuming” but he’s definitely handling it right. And as for the interview, this line is probably the good summary – “With skirts, it’s not about how they look but what they mean to oneself” – I personally don’t feel like I push special meaning towards wearing skirt, unless maybe showing that I’m still the same “Mateusz” my friends and family know for years and nothing changes in my attitude and personality because of wearing skirt instead of trousers / pants. Still, it takes a bit to break such barrier of “how do I look in this” thinking.
That quote is really good, although how they look is also part of what they mean to me. 😉
