This is an interesting post by a fellow skirt-wearer over at Skirt Cafe about how an interview at his company led to him being able to wear skirts openly at work.

Interesting interview, yeah I can imagine many guys going for denim skirts entirely. Of course it would be better if you don’t have to ask about “wearing skirt in the office”, but I can only wonder if any female would need to ask about wearing “something unusual” there.
Sad that this guy heard all this “gay / transvestite” shouts from random folks, but in the end they are just random folks. Similarly, though, people who praise your clothing choice, although it’s more likely to get along and have a new friend. Being able to wear skirt at work is a good first step.
I agree that it would be better if we didn’t have to ask at all. We should just be able to wear whatever we want as long as it’s appropriate for the office.
