I’m impressed Archie could do 15-20 minutes in 4-inch heels first time out! The power of desire, I suppose. Heels are a fascinating topic, indeed. I don’t need them for height, being already tall, but I do like how they make my very long feet look a bit more proportional. And the well-know visual enhancement of the calf muscles pleases my leg-loving wife, too.
The real challenge is learning and remembering to walk in an attractive way in heels. Male or female, so very often at a big party or formal event (wedding, etc.) women appear in high heels who clearly don’t wear them often, and they are tipped forward by them and their posture and walk are more of less ruined. Done well, wearing heels can actually improve posture (I know), at least for heels in the 2 inch range. I have no clue about really high ones: they don’t exist in my size, anyway. But it’s necessary to use foot tilt to bring the pelvic cradle forward AND the upper body BACK again, not tipped, standing up straight. The walk become more drivne by the hips in the lead, too. Then it feels good and looks good, on anyone.
Well, 10 cm heels look terrific and I think I understand this fascination for these shoes. I never had interest for heels, it feels to me like cheating on your height and for god’s sake, girls who need their partner to be +20 cm so that they can wear these heels on super events seriously have something wrong in their heads, like what’s the problem of getting not so high ones or whether your partner will look shorter than you? Feels like a lot of care for the others attention, something that is probably more difficult to get from male perspective who don’t care about their look from others POV that much.
Anyway, given article recommendation to just try (it’s not a sin from what I know) I’m probably gonna get some cheap ones with similar ~10cm “height” – to wear it at home during remote work when no one else will bother me.
