This is a short article about how we can positively use AI to help envision men wearing gender-non-conforming and other non-traditional clothing. It’s certainly an interesting way to help others visualize what men would look like wearing certain skirts or dresses and one that I have tried to embrace with some of the images on this blog as well.

Well, that was fun. You had more success than I did, using prompts like “man wearing a short-sleeve one-piece dress” Everything returned was still bifurcated shorts! But I like the idea and will play more. Might give me idea or two for new outfits, too.
I’ve been trying a lot of different prompts out to see what works best. The best AI image generation tool I’ve found so far is actually Microsoft Copilot: https://www.bing.com/chat?q=Microsoft+Copilot&FORM=hpcodx. That’s what I use to generate all of the images for this blog.
Yeah, this tool might be helpful for some people who struggle with decisive processes trying to pick some clothes up at store or other shopping mall – I personally don’t like spending too much time on it, but having AI tool where you can type in, what you’re looking for, and then “some kind of software” would try to go through indexed clothes in the store and just tell you where it is, the price of it – that could be interesting.
Still, it would be good if these AI tools can try to ignore some pointless “social regulations” that we have invented. Right now it feels like that can also carry over some kind of bias.
That is true. I think it could be especially helpful in trying to come up with an outfit when you’re first starting on your “beskirted” journey. Since clothes from the men’s department are so monotone, we aren’t used to the select that women typically have and therefore, we don’t often know what to do with all of the choices when we first begin.
